Dr. Matthew Earhart is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. While there he also received his Master’s of Education with an emphasis on visual function in learning from Pacific University College of Education. Dr. Earhart completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Dr. Matthew Earhart’s extensive training has provided him the knowledge to specialize in comprehensive eye exams, the fitting of hard and soft contact lenses, and the management of contact lens related problems. Additionally, Dr. Earhart’s optometric externship at the VA Eye Clinic in Spokane, Washington allowed him to gain invaluable knowledge in the therapeutic treatment and management of ocular disease, including cataract surgery co-management. Dr. Earhart’s patient care experiences have also extended to disadvantaged areas of Ecuador and Mexico. In these countries he provided eye care and recycled eyeglasses to those in need.
Prior to arriving in sunny California, Dr. Earhart worked in the coastal towns of Seaside, Oregon, and Long Beach, Washington. Now settled in Sacramento, Dr. Earhart is the primary optometrist at Sierra Eye Care and Sierra Eye Wear. He is available to address all patients’ examinations for glasses prescriptions and contact lens needs. Dr. Earhart’s therapeutic optometric license permits him to treat ocular conditions, including but not limited to dry eye, seasonal allergies, and eye infections. Dr. Earhart also assists ophthalmologists in the co-management of patient care before and after cataract and LASIK surgery.
