Eye Conditions
The doctors at Sierra Eye Care have helped thousands of people just like you enjoy better vision. Leading the way with new medications and surgical procedures, Sierra Eye Care can diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular diseases and conditions. Advances in technology have impacted all aspects of vision care. Surgical procedures that once required a hospital stay and lengthy recovery are now performed on an outpatient basis, with most patients returning to their normal activities the following day.
Sierra Eye Care continually invests in state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment. Our doctors participate in ongoing training to ensure the most advanced care is available to improve your vision and quality of life.
For your convenience, we have developed an overview of common eye conditions. Click on any of the conditions on this page to learn more about symptoms, causes and treatments. The information is provided for review and education only. Only a medical professional can diagnose and treat any symptoms you may be experiencing. If your eyes do not see, feel or look as well as you would like them to, schedule an appointment with one of our doctors by using our online scheduling or by calling (916) 423-4040 or (916) 689-7800.
Insurance
The treatment of many eye conditions is covered by insurance, including Medicare. If you have questions about what is covered by your private healthcare insurance, contact your plan provider. We accept most major insurances.
If you have questions about your Medicare coverage, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to speak to a Medicare Customer Representative. You can also go to www.medicare.gov to find out more about Medicare coverage. Our staff is also available to help you determine whether the eye care you need is covered by Medicare. You can email questions@sierraeyecare.org or telephone (916) 423-4040 or (916) 689-7800.
Your out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare or private insurance will depend on the type of insurance you have, whether you have supplemental insurance and whether you have a deductible on your policy. As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill primary and secondary insurance carriers. Please provide accurate and current insurance information so that we may submit claims in a timely manner. Co-payments and deductibles are collected at the time of service. Any remaining balance owed after insurances have paid will be billed to you. For your convenience we accept personal checks, debit cards, VISA, MasterCard and CareCredit.
